I'm afraid that the magic I was given here is far different than yours, but... having the opportunity to experience something new is exciting, too.

I was given a golden potion, but the first time it was used, it was-- not exactly on purpose.

[jugglery]

[siiiiiiip. Shadow Milk's curiosity is piqued. he stares at PV, wanting clarification]

It seems that my role as a shepherd in my younger days was taken into consideration when I was given my potion.

( And he ended up being a very fluffy sheep. )

[he's squeezing his mug so hard right now. good thing it's not like that paper mug from when they got cocoa together]

( He could almost laugh a little at that response. )

You see, the animal I change into is none other than a sheep.

[he does WHAT now? wait, he was given a transformation potion?!]

It appears that golden potions contain transformation magic.

( He should've told Shadow Milk what he had discovered about this world's magic before. )

[normally, transformation magic is nifty! Shadow Milk has that power, too. but to only change into one thing, and for it to not even be threatening...

the corner of his mouth twitches. he suddenly laughs LOUDLY, echoing through the cottage]

AHHHH HA HA HA HAAA! Oh, no! HAHA. I-I can't...! I just can't!

( Wow??? He's laughing so much...

He clears his throat, awkwardly taking a sip of his tea. )

I'm not sure if this is truly cause for laughter...

[jugglery]

[this only makes Shadow Milk laugh harder. he has tears in his eyes!]

Oh, stop! Stop! You're crumbling me!

Y-yeah. I'm done.

[hoooo he wipes away a tear of mirth]

( Sighs a little, takes another drink of his tea. That's... just Shadow Milk, he supposes. )

My intention is to ask for my healing magic back. I believe that this may be the only time we'll have similar abilities.

[jugglery]

[Shadow Milk is suddenly looking expectantly at Pure Vanilla. he blinks, still smiling]

And?

( Is he going to start laughing again? )

No. That would be it.

[more blinking. no, he's fluttering his damn lashes]

Vanilly. Don't just change the subject. Are you gonna show me, or what?

( Absolutely not. Not right now. )

[UGHHHHHHH Shadow Milk kicks his feet]

But it'd make me feel betterrrrrrrrr!

You seem to be doing just fine on your own.

( Another sip of his tea. )

In fact, you seem to be in high spirits as you normally are.

[jugglery]

[wow!!!!!!!!!! now the shoe was on the other foot. at least Shadow Milk didn't throw his teacup against the wall, or something. no, he... managed to hold himself back. but he was still going to pout as he finished his tea]

Not yet. I'll be in tip-top shape when I get my powers back.

[after a moment, he set down his cup and leaned into Pure Vanilla's space, resting his head on his shoulder]

( There's a pause when he feels sudden weight on his shoulder, turning his head before smiling softly. His chest swells, and he leans his head against the other's in return. )

Soon, I'm certain.

[jugglery]

[despite coming in here like a grouch, this is the first time Shadow Milk has felt relaxed in weeks. probably the entire month!

he feels his eyes get heavy and he yawns, just resting there and not really minding their closeness. the scent of vanilla is... comforting]

( Eventually, he hears hears the even breathing from Shadow Milk that reveals that he's fallen asleep, and Pure Vanilla's chest swells. When they had only just arrived, Shadow Milk wouldn't have trusted him, muchless fallen asleep with him. But, this closeness.... it feels like it should be. As though it's the most natural thing in the world. He feels comforted with him so close by.

His chest swells, and he smiles contently. It's just a matter of time before he'll fall asleep, too. After all, he dare not move at this point. He doesn't want to disturb him. )
